AC Tune-Ups in Salt Lake City

Catch weak parts in April instead of finding them in July.

Why a Spring Tune-Up Pays Off Here

The Salt Lake Valley swings from inversion-season cold to triple-digit heat in a few months. Outdoor units sit through snow, spring wind, and cottonwood fluff, and by May the coils are often coated. Salt Lake City Air Conditioning provides AC tune-ups and maintenance in Salt Lake City so your system starts the summer clean, tested, and ready to work hard.

A tune-up is not a quick look and a sticker. We clean the outdoor coil, test the capacitor and electrical connections, measure refrigerant performance, clear the condensate drain, and check airflow. The most valuable part is often what we find: a capacitor that is testing weak or a slow leak caught early can save you a no-cooling call during the hottest week of the year.

What a Tune-Up Includes

Every maintenance visit covers the parts of the system that fail most often in our climate.

Outdoor Coil Cleaning
Dust, cottonwood seed, and grass clippings block airflow through the condenser coil. A clean coil lets the system shed heat and run more efficiently.
Electrical Testing
We test the capacitor against its rating, inspect the contactor, and tighten connections. Weak capacitors are the most common summer failure.
Refrigerant Performance Check
We measure pressures and temperatures to confirm the system is charged and operating correctly, without adding refrigerant unless there is a reason.
Drain Line Service
We flush the condensate line and check the safety switch so the system does not shut down or leak water mid-summer.
Airflow and Filter Check
We check the filter, blower, and temperature drop across the coil to confirm the house is getting the cooling the system produces.
